The Center for Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology operates under the auspicies of the Pharmacology laboratory at the University of Patras Medical School (established in 1980, ΦΕΚ 194/26-08-1980, Α’, παρ. 789, σελ 2404). The laboratory operates two academic Units licensed by the Hellenic State (ΦΕΚ 171/30-07-2001, Α’, Αρθρο 1, σελ. 2580): 1) Clinical Pharmacology Unit, and 2) Toxicology Unit.

Capitalizing on these two academic units, Prof. Kyriakos E. Kypreos at his capacity as Chairman of the Laboratory recently created the service unit “Center for Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology” of the Department (www.ccpft.eu). This service unit is designed to perform research as well as services for-a-fee to Academic, Industrial as well as Clinical partners. The facility is an official service unit of the University of Patras, fully licensed and financially managed by the Office of Research Administration (E.L.K.E).
